Naya Young
Naya Young is the Executive Director of the Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association (THJCA) and one of the co-founders of Conscious Community Connectors, LLC.
She received a Master of Arts and Sciences degree in Political Science from Howard University and her Bachelor's Degree in Culture and Media Communication from the University of South Florida. Naya also obtained a Nonprofit Management Certification from the University of Tampa. She has managed projects and programs that promote equitable access, youth engagement and community decision making. She has experience working with local and national non-profit organizations on various projects and initiatives. Naya specializes in nonprofit leadership and management, research, grant writing, program development and management as well as policy analysis.
Throughout her career, Naya has gained a deeper understanding of the importance of youth and community engagement in all aspects. She knows the value in providing the opportunity for discourse and exchange of ideas, thoughts and knowledge. As a service-oriented leader, Naya is committed to ensure that children and youth, families and communities are connected to the necessary resources, opportunities and knowledge needed to be successful and civically engaged.
