Fatima Elkott

Fatima Elkott is an urban planner and facilitator who is focused on pathways for community connections and action. Fatima received her Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and her Bachelor’s in Environmental Biology and Anthropology from the University of South Florida. Fatima has experience working in and with public, private, and nonprofit organizations and believes in the power of a multidisciplinary and collaborative framework to address the interconnected and complex issues of our world today.

Fatima is passionate about facilitating community groups and residents through processes that allow them to share and exchange their stories, collectively envision their futures, and create the strategies and structures needed to actualize action.

Recently, Fatima has been working as a place-based practitioner in several communities throughout the Hillsborough Country area. Fatima cultivates programs, events, processes and spaces that help further or create community initiatives, building, and connections. Fatima’s diverse background in transportation and community planning, facilitation, digital design, community development, and GIS provides her the tools needed to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate among many sectors.
